It feels difficult to focus on real estate, market updates, or mortgage rates when our neighbors are enduring such unimaginable loss. At Chattanooga Roots, the Western North Carolina and East Tennessee mountains are more than just a destination—they're part of who we are. Whether it’s been a leisurely drive in the Bronco, a romantic getaway, or a family trip, these mountains have created countless memories for us all. The warmth and kindness of the people in this region have left an indelible mark on our hearts.
Right now, we are heartbroken to see these cherished places and communities devastated by flooding. While the road to recovery will be long, we believe in the resilience of the people who call this place home. But they can't do it alone. It will take all of us standing together to help restore the beauty and spirit of the area we hold so dear.
We've complied a list of resources for aiding those in need. If you have any questions, or know of any other organizations, we would love to hear from you. -The Chattanooga Roots Property Team

- US Disaster Relief (Samaritans Purse) Samaritan's Purse mobilizes staff and equipment and enlists thousands of volunteers to provide emergency aid to victims of tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters in the United States. We often stay behind after our initial response to rebuild or restore houses for needy families.
- Operation Airdrop Operation Airdrop is a Texas-based 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to providing rapid relief to communities impacted by natural disasters. Founded in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in 2017, we mobilize volunteer pilots and a diverse fleet of aircraft to deliver essential supplies to areas cut off from traditional aid routes. By partnering with local charities and organizations, we ensure that vital resources—such as food, medical supplies, and baby items—reach those in need within hours, not days.
-Medic Corps Medic Corps is a Christian U.S. based non-governmental organization that deploys our cross-trained volunteers to provide humanitarian aid, medical assistance, and rescue services to disaster areas. Medic Corp’s mission is to provide rapid response and critical aid to where it is most needed. Our teams on the ground seek to find the areas that are being neglected to fill in the gaps.
